Where do I even start？ Parker and I could be besties with our need to please and be perfect。 It was nice to see her more sensitive side！ And Sonny…he is the perfect person for her。 I love that for him football was a job that allowed him to care for others。 The way he loved and cared for Parker both past and present was heart warming。 This book was full of laugh out loud moments， hot and spicy romance and full on heart warming moments！

I always know that I am going to be laughing out loud quite frequently when I see Kate Watson's name on the cover。 This book was no exception。 This author's sense of humor is superb and shines through her writing。 Just wait until you read about tummy waffles。 I am still laughing about this one。 Although there was plenty of humor to go around， the serious side of this plotline was touching as well。 It was the perfect mix of romance， seriousness and comedy。 Sonny Luciano is at the apex of everythi I always know that I am going to be laughing out loud quite frequently when I see Kate Watson's name on the cover。 This book was no exception。 This author's sense of humor is superb and shines through her writing。 Just wait until you read about tummy waffles。 I am still laughing about this one。 Although there was plenty of humor to go around， the serious side of this plotline was touching as well。 It was the perfect mix of romance， seriousness and comedy。 Sonny Luciano is at the apex of everything he ever imagined he could be and wanted to be。 He made it to the NFL， and now his team has won the Super Bowl after he made a fantastic catch in the final minutes。 He has more money than he can ever spend and plenty of adoring fans。 What he does not have is the one who got away。Parker now owns a successful business。 She let Sonny go all those years ago in college when she encouraged him to pursue his football collegiate career。 She knew he would make it to the big leagues。 She did not want to hold him back。 She also did not want him to see that she was not good enough for him。 She was not lovable。 This is what she thinks of herself because of the way her parents have always treated her。 She is something to be displayed and put on a pedestal。 She was taught to never show weakness or fear。 This has scarred her mentally。 This made me want to cry。When she ends up helping with a surprise birthday party being held at her friends' farm， she has no idea that the birthday girl is none other than Sonny's Nonna。 When they are thrown together for a few days， their feelings for one another come back to the surface。 I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet romance， and the characters will not soon be forgotten。 My favorite character was Nonna。 This fireball 80 year old woman was so full of life and believed in fighting for what is right。 The Luciano family does not know the meaning of quiet。 They are boisterous， loud and fun， but most importantly they love one another fully。 I felt such empathy for Parker。 Her upbringing had spoiled a lot of things in her life。 Sonny was just dreamy in every way possible with his good looks， wonderful personality and giving spirit。 The perfect package in a dreamboat。This sweet second chance romance will warm your heart and give you plenty of laughs along the way。 You will fall in love with the Luciano family in every way。 Thank you to the author for this ARC。 I am leaving this review voluntarily。 。。。more

This was such a cute book。 It’s the third book on the series and allows you to follow the friends of Sugar Maple。 I loved how family oriented it was。 The love and admiration Sonny and his family had for each other was touching。 You don’t see that in many books。 The bond they have is what true friendship is all about。 I laughed。 I cried。 I laughed some more and cried some more。 Love getting invested in the characters lives and the Sugar Maple characters are a fun group to follow。

this was my second read by Kate （the first being single all the way， a christmassy office romance）。 it’s always sonny is book 3 in her Sweet as Sugar Maple series， but each book can be read as a stand alone。 ive read a handful of second chance stories lately and let me just say， i just might actually be obsessed with them！🫶🏻i just love Kate’s ability to include suchhh steamy tension while keeping it closed-door！ 🫶🏻 there was so much tension as well as fun banter - as these two， PJ （Parker Jane） this was my second read by Kate （the first being single all the way， a christmassy office romance）。 it’s always sonny is book 3 in her Sweet as Sugar Maple series， but each book can be read as a stand alone。 ive read a handful of second chance stories lately and let me just say， i just might actually be obsessed with them！🫶🏻i just love Kate’s ability to include suchhh steamy tension while keeping it closed-door！ 🫶🏻 there was so much tension as well as fun banter - as these two， PJ （Parker Jane） & Sonny， were quite literal opposites， which i think was achieved so well！ i loved that this story included the sport of football for us sports-fans， while not necessarily being a “sports romance，” as that wasnt the main focus。 so its also perfect for non-sports lovers too。 lastly， i will say i havent had a book make me giggle so much in a while - Sonny’s grandma Nonna just might have been the secret star of the show 😆🤭 overall i really admired this book and think it is a perfect mix of fun + happy， and serious + heartfelt！ 。。。more
